If someone would be so kind as to sticky this. I shelled out a good amount of ISK to get this conversation to happen.
Noobs, don't fall for dumb crap. And here is why, in plain sight. I've been in this game long enough to know a scam, and decided to do something about one of them, so you all don't get roped into this kind of thing. Flying since 2007... so sometimes, this is how bored I get with EVE

Well, like I'd said.... noobs need to know this stuff, and I was just plain bored, so.... here you are. Posting to confirm that it is completely necessary to pay a scammer in order to make noobs aware of the scam. Nobody has ever made noobs aware of a scam without first pretending to be taken in by the scammer in a non-refundable fashion. This explanation makes perfect sense and this story is 100% plausible.

The noob missions should have an ISK doubler with limited negative impact and a station agent that then tells you how stupid you were.

Oh, wait.... that was me. I am sympathetic most of the time to other eve players who get scammed, but what makes me want to keep flaming this thread, is simply this. You should have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATION of getting stuff for free in this game, irregardless of whether you attempt to shame a scammer or not. Lets say that the pressure you put on the scammer worked, lets say they doubled your isk... would you be posting here? absolutely not. YOU are posting here, simply because you are angry with losing 1.2 bil or 1.4 bil whichever it was and you want some kind of justice or this is your attempt at reasoning your loss, instead of admitting you got scammed. (which is what happened) You are trying to justify your loss with this absurd public service announcement, TRULY does anybody here even remotely expected your isk to be doubled? You gambled and lossed, I doubt if anyone cares about your so called public service announcement, but I for one am glad you made it, so If I ever cross your path and need to engage in any kind of acitivity with you a simple forum search will show this absurd thread and I will know you are just one of those get rich quick types. The best move you can possibly do now, is edit all your posts in this thread so they are blank and ask for it being locked.

Shao Huang wrote: shill.
Edit: in other MMO's it is possible for a single player to rid a single server of 'ISK'/'gold' doublers. I do not think the scale or mechanics of EVE allow this. There are two steps. Often only one is needed.
1- you bombard their means of trade with zero value transactions. It makes it impossible for them to respond to their marks. 2- while doing this you actively troll them out into public, beyond their bot ads. They get quite angry and ruin their own market, but usually that is not even necessary.
I know this works because I have done it multiple times in multiple games. It simply becomes unprofitable for them to operate in that area or on that server. This actually works for many kinds of third party profiteers. Eventually you can create a local cultural norm about it where the potential marks now have a persistent hostility toward such activities and take pride in trolling them out. The ISK doubler is essentially 'lazy' and will move to someplace easier to operate. Because EVE is geared to be able to handle transactions and is so vast this would not likely work here, nor be worth the trouble. It is necessary to create a consistently hostile business environment for them. Though it does not take the kind of 16 hour obsession reported here, you do have to be vigilant for a short period of time and willing to log an alt. Educating the 'mark' alone is insufficient. However if other people relaize they can punish the doubler in some way it very rapidly becomes good fun to do so. Actually paying the doubler anything is the opposite direction you want to go. If you cannot destroy their profitability through insane transaction costs there is little you can do. 'Education' such as the OP imagines not only does not work, but creates the opportunity for shilling by the doublers themselves, as we see above.
If I'd thought about it a little harder, at the time.... your method does make a lot more sense.

But, I'm bored, so here's my money, and I'm going to try to ruin your ill-gotten credibility. Watch me give zero f***s, and make a joke out of it.... even if I'm the only one who thinks it's funny." pretty much sums it up.
Sry. istill don't get it. what credibility? Who's ruined and why? o_O Couldn't You just have stalked her until she paid You 1bil to stop posting in local or something like that? The ignore button is always an option, You know... Your most "clever" action to "reveal" a scammer* was so ******** that I cannot find words strong enough to describe how stupid it actually was. * I'd actually refrain from using the word scammer since the "scheme" she used was so old and so well known that it could hardly be called a scam anymore.
It's less fun for me that way. If I am logged onto TQ, I'm probably drunk. You've been warned. |

I rely on people who can't comprehend the rules to make my profit, which pays for my account and my eve shopping problem. "Can't BS a BS'er", perhaps? I dunno.... but I will tell you that I fail at photoshop, so I don't even know how I'd "fake" a screenshot... If I am logged onto TQ, I'm probably drunk. You've been warned. |

Noobs, don't fall for dumb crap. And here is why, in plain sight. I've been in this game long enough to know a scam, and decided to do something about one of them, so you all don't get roped into this kind of thing. Flying since 2007... so sometimes, this is how bored I get with EVE Read up and educate yourselves. http://jarodgaramonde.blogspot.com/ I too was scammed by erotica 1!!! I sent her 2b and she refused to double me. Now I am broke and have nothing. I spent so long mining to get to that level and now have to start all over! She won't even give me a refund, which PROVES she's a scam. I have done some defective work though and discovered she has been blogging about her conquests on some website by a guy called Psycho Monk HERE: http://belligerentundesirables.com/You should link her forum acrticles from your blog and ruin her scam! Can anyone out there lend me some isk to help start over? I have learned my lesson. You were not scammed. You did not follow the rules. You played her game and lost. if you expected to get 2 billion doubled, I would say you did not even read the rules. Erotica1's game is very simple. The rules are clear, yet it is easy to miss a key point in those rules that will result in you losing the game. If you lose it is just like losing when gambling, the money you lost is gone. Vegas does not refund your money when you lose. I am not Trying to make you feel dumb because you lost. Far more players fall to follow the rules and lose, than those that do follow the rules and win. That is what makes the game work. If more players win than lose she will not make any money. This game is based on greed. Players get so excited that she actually does payout what she says that they forget the rules and send isk amounts that do not follow the rules. If you want to play the game add her to your watch list, Send isk only when you see she is online. Read her Bio carefully, If you follow ALL the rules, you will get your isk doubled, tripled or even 5 times what you send her.
It's funny that people are still posting in this thread. I can haz lock, plz?
Erotica's alts are annoying, and this one obviously ignores facts.
